Island Activities

The Isle of Man offers numerous activities including sea kayaking, coasteering, boat charters and off road horse riding. Manx coastal waters offer sensational opportunities to the diving fraternity, with reportedly the finest diving waters within the British Isles.
The national network of glens, and coastal and country footpaths cater for walkers and ramblers of all abilities, so you can choose how challenging to make that day out!
For the really energetic it would be hard to beat a day spent at the Venture Centre in Maughold (bookable in advance), where a full range of outdoor activities are available.
Appealing to those of an adventurous nature are the guided ghost tours in Peel, Ramsey, Douglas and Castletown, which will inevitably make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up!
Sport is extremely important to the people of the island and there are plenty of opportunities to play any number of sports or use the excellent municipal swimming venues sited in each of the larger residential areas. There are 9 golf courses (links and moorland) waiting to be played, and no visit to the Isle of Man would be complete without taking on the 18 hole Championship course here at the Mount Murray Hotel!
